Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan Drawn into Challenging Group with Algeria and Burkina Faso
The stage is set for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following the official group draw.
The draw was conducted at the Theatre Mohammed V in Rabat, Morocco, with the assistance of legendary African football figures, including Nigeria’s Joseph Yobo and Serge Aurier of Côte d’Ivoire.
Sudan, who secured qualification over Ghana’s Black Stars, landed in Group E. They will face formidable opponents Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Equatorial Guinea.
Angola, another qualifier alongside Sudan, found themselves in Group B. The Palancas Negras will clash with record titleholders Egypt, 1996 champions South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
