LilWin: “I’ll Divorce My Wife If My Mother Asks Me To”
Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has made a bold declaration about his unwavering loyalty to his mother, Madam Adwoa Offe, even over his marriage.
In an interview with Zionfelix on January 22, 2025, LilWin shared that his respect and affection for his mother take precedence in his life. He stated unequivocally that he would prioritize her wishes over those of his wife, should the two ever conflict.
“If I haven’t divorced my wife, my sisters have no right to tell me to do so. But if my mother asks me to divorce her, I will do it,” he said. “I don’t need my wife to respect me; I need her to respect my mother.”
LilWin attributed his perspective on marriage and life to the guidance and wisdom his mother has imparted over the years. He suggested that his wife could learn from his mother’s example, as she has played an instrumental role in shaping him into the man he is today.
The actor’s deep love and gratitude for his mother have been evident in his grand gestures of appreciation. Most recently, LilWin celebrated his mother’s 80th birthday by presenting her with a luxurious 12-bedroom mansion, a symbol of his enduring care and admiration.
LilWin frequently shared updates about the mansion’s construction with his fans, showcasing his dedication to the project. This isn’t the first time the actor has surprised his mother with such a gift; in 2017, he built her an eight-bedroom house as a token of thanks for her sacrifices in supporting his career aspirations in Ghana’s movie industry.
These acts of generosity underline the Kumawood star’s deep bond with his mother and his belief in honoring the woman who helped him achieve his dreams. For LilWin, his mother remains the most influential figure in his life, even above his marital commitments.
